Whether you knit, crochet, sew or quilt,
there are many worthwhile charities that need your talents!

Here are just a few links to get you started:

  • Newborns in Need
    Accepting all types of crafted items.
    (quilts, toys, baby clothing, etc..)

  • Careware
    A nationwide group of volunteers who knit, crochet,
    and sew, providing handmade baby items to hospitals.
    Patterns, links, and listings of hospitals all over the country,
    and the items needed most.

  • Head Huggers
    Use your skills to help someone who has undergone hair loss
    due to chemotherapy, brain surgery, burn wounds, etc.,
    by making hats. Many patterns available to get you started.

  • Hugs for Homeless Animals
    Accepting "snuggles" for animals in shelters.

  • Warm Up America
    Knit or crochet afghan squares, to be used in blankets for shelters, hospitals, etc...
