Ch 6, join with slip stitch to form ring.
small point:
ch 5, sl st in 4th ch to form picot, ch 5, yo, hook in 4th ch - pull up loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo, hook in 4th ch - pull up loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo pull through 3 loops. sl st in next ch.
sc in ring
large point:
*ch 5, sl st in 4th ch to form picot* (repeat between *'s 2 more times), ch 5, yo, hook in 4th ch - pull up loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo, hook in 4th ch - pull up loop, yo pull through 2 loops, yo pull through 3 loops. sl st in next ch. **ch 4, sl st in 4th ch to form picot, sl st in next ch.** (repeat between **'s 2 more times)
sc in ring
Repeat: {small point, sc in ring, large point, sc in ring} until you have 6 small points and 6 large points. Join with sl st to beg ch of first point to end. Finish off.
Finishing:
Use stiffening solution* and smooth and shape your snowflake as you pin it to a piece of cardboard covered with waxed paper to dry. Let dry overnight.
*If you do not have a commercial stiffening solution, you may use white glue thinned with a few drops of water. Simply thin the glue and fully saturate the snowflake. Squeeze out the excess moisture and smooth and shape the snowflake as you pin it to your board.
